JAMB Admission Status 2020 Checking Portal [Admission List]

Everything that you need to know about jamb admission status 2020 and jamb admission list 2020/2021.

Do you want to know if you have been offered admission?… If yes, then you are in the right place, as this article contains everything you need to know concerning JAMB Admission Status Portal.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called upon all candidates to start making use of the admission status portal, as it has already been made active for the current session.

Therefore, if you participated in JAMB UTME/DE this year, you are advised to proceed to the admission status portal to confirm if you have been offered admission.

Initially, all candidates have their admission status as “NOT ADMITTED” , but as time goes on, some change to “Admission In Progress“, Check back later”.

Admission in progress simply means, an institution is already considering you for admission, but it is not a guarantee that you will or will not get admitted, so it is a 50-50 chance.

If after seeing “Admission in Progress“, on your portal, it then changes to ” Congratulations, you have been offered admission “, it simply means that you have been successfully offered admission into the institution (will be mentioned on your portal).

If you have successfully been offered admission into any institution, the next step is to accept or reject the admission offer.

JAMB admission status 2020 portal

Immediately after being offered provisional admission, the two buttons of “ accept admission ” and “reject admission” become active.

So all you need to to do is to click “accept” or “reject” to accept or reject your admission respectively.

If you accept your admission, you can no longer have the opportunity to get admitted by another institution.

This is due to the fact that accepting an institution’s admission offer, automatically removes your name and details form the marketplace (a section on JAMB CAPS, which contains names of “not admitted” students.

On the other hand, if you reject your admission, you still have the opportunity of gaining admission into another institution, aside from the one, which you rejected her admission offer.

This is because rejecting an admission offer leaves your name in the Marketplace (as explained earlier).

Without wasting much of our time, let us proceed to know how to access the admission status portal, and check if you have been offered admission of not.
