Requirements to check WAEC Results

These are the basic things that you need to know or have before even thinking about checking your WAEC 2020 results.

1. Examination Number

Your examination number is a detail you mustn’t forget. Although, if you can check the ID Card issued to you by WAEC.

It is required to find your results. You can’t use someone else’s examination number. It is exclusive to you only.

Your examination number is a 10-digit number. The first seven numbers is your examination centre number, while the next three numbers is your seat number.

So if you misplace your WAEC ID Card, and also forget your examination number, you can ask a candidate, who wrote the exam in the same centre with you, to tell you the centre number, then you should add the sear number to it.

2. Examination Year

This is the year you wrote the Examination. If you wrote it in the year 2020, then your examination year will be 2020.

3. e-PIN

This is a voucher number, that is used for your registration. It is also written on your WAEC ID Card.

If you misplace the card, you can get a pin by buying a WAEC Scratch Card. You can get this at a Cyber Café.

Note that an e-PIN can only be used five times. On reaching this limit, the Pin become useless.

If you haven’t printed your 2020 WAEC result, and your pin count has been used up, then you have to purchase a scratch card.

4. Serial Number

This is also important to check your result. It is an alphanumeric data i.e it is a combination of letters and numbers.
